Large Tree Planters How Large Of A Planter Box Should I Build For A Golden Full Moon Maple?

How large of a planter box should I build for a golden full moon maple? - large tree planters

I have a golden full moon maple in a pot with 3 liters and I for a permanent location. I live in Chicago and did not submit to the harsh winter wind, I'm going to build a planter box. My question is: What is the appropriate size for this tree can be 5 meters high? In addition, each chart, how to build one of these fields. Thanks in advance for any clue.

The difficulty with the growth of a tree in a container in which the climate (zone 5), that the winters can be cold. There is no danger of freezing cold winters hill. Trees planted on the ground, the natural insulation of the earth have, that the root ball of the plant above the surface does not.

You can plant in a large bowl ... Maple and full moon can be grown in a densely 50-100 gallons. I would be even higher if possible ... a container that (3 meters on each side of between 150 and 200 gallons) is growing. And even with the large container - I would ensure that the placement is in a place that is not the prevailing winds in winter, and for good measure, I am surrounded by bales of hay from mid-December to February l 'isolation. ( or stack bags of fertilizer, or whatever at hand).
